Insurance Premiums, Cancer Cover and Cyber Insurance

Keeping your insurance premiums the same until 80 years? Sound good to you??

Premium costs will keep climbing as you become older as this is the way premium costs are calculated by the insurers. Now is a good time to look at options to keep some of your premium at a constant rate, so when your circumstances change and you no longer have the need for all of your current benefits, you can have a base amount of cover that will be affordable to retain in the future. This is something we can help with. Options will differ dependant on your own personal circumstances and requirements for the future. Phone 09 486 3266 to book a time to discuss.

You can opt to have a fixed premium to age 65 or 70 years – your choice? Includes a grief support and financial planning allowance as an additional payment. For every client that commences this cover they will be given a copy of Pink’s ”Beautiful Trauma” CD We think it is more than beautiful to have extra funds available to you at this stressful time.

Why should a business have cyber insurance?

Security weaknesses have been discovered in Wi-Fi networks that can leave your data exposed and you and your business vulnerable to cyber attacks. No matter the size, any business that operates online or has an online presence is vulnerable to Cyber attacks and data breaches. From viruses and hackers to employee error and system damage, your business is exposed to a range of risks that can stop you trading, impact you financially, affect your customers, and damage your business’ reputation. NZI offers two Cyber policies. From basic coverage under Cyber Base , to more extensive protection under Cyber Ultra . We welcome your enquiry contact us here

Enduring Power of Attorney – Important Protection for You

Enduring Power of Attorney – Important Protection for You

An EPA for property is a great document to have when you travel because you can appoint someone to manage your finances and investments back home on your behalf. An EPA helps protect against unforeseen circumstances by allowing an individual or organisation, referred to as an ‘attorney’, to act on your behalf, if necessary. An attorney might be needed where:

  • You are overseas and need to buy, sell or manage assets or investment funds on your behalf; or,
  • You have a debilitating illness or injury which prevents you from being able to act for yourself (where you fall into a coma or become delirious with a fever for example).
  • There are two types of EPA, one for Property and one for Personal Care and Welfare

Typical life insurance mistakes

Not taking out life insurance until you need it rather than, buying too little, losing the family home is the worst-case scenario that must be avoided. Not insuring your spouse, think about all the scenarios that could affect you and your family and make sure you have a plan in place. Not reviewing your policy, picked up a new hobby? It’s time to review your policy. Buying on price, other than price, there are many factors to consider, such as policy quality and customer service.

We all know about life insurance , but what happens if you become sick and unable to work? It may be that you need extra funds at this time to help with additional family running costs or for that extra treatment to get you rehabilitated quickly. There is so much we could do to help you and your family and we have seen how many of our client’s lives have changed with having the right covers in place for their own particular circumstances. We can start out with sorting cover for ourselves at the time we buy our first home, or start a family and then put our thoughts in the closet and think that we have done that job !!. It is so important to keep up to date with regularly reviewing the plans you have in place. We don’t know what has changed unless you tell us, so that we can both plan the right outcome for the covers you have in place. Your call is welcome anytime.
